Balboa Academy's Parent Teacher Student Organization (PTSO)

Welcome to the PTSO!

Who are we?

We are an active group of volunteer parents, staff and students dedicated to creating a better school in an atmosphere where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our children can thrive. All parents of students enrolled at Balboa Academy are members.

Our Mission

  • Support and encourage excellence in the educational experience.
  • Serve as an advocate for a healthy environment and educational enrichment for all students attending Balboa Academy.
  • Promote an appreciation of Balboa Academy’s cultural diversity.
  • Serve as a link to foster communication and cooperation among parents, faculty, administration, and students of Balboa Academy.

Our Commitment

  • Encourage optimum parent involvement in activities to support Balboa Academy.
  • Foster connections among Balboa Academy families by sponsoring events and programs that benefit all students Pre-K through 12th grades
  • To provide, through fundraising activities, financial support to faculty for projects and/or materials not included in the school’s normal budgeting process.
  • Support social and cultural activities meant to promote and celebrate harmony among the many cultures of the Balboa Academy community.

How to Contact the PTSO

  • Attend our meetings, the first Tuesday of every month at 8:30 AM in the ES lunch room
  • E-mail us at ptso@balboa-academy.org
  • Visit us in the PTSO office: Rm. 32, second level, ES building
  • Drop us a note in our PTSO boxes located just outside the main offices at the Elementary and Middle School Buildings
