Media Centers

 
 

Overview:

The Balboa Academy Media Center system contains over 20,000 books that are cataloged on the Media Center computer system which can be accessed in all three of our centers (Elementary, Middle and High School). Each center has computers for the student use before, during and after school for homework, research projects and other required activities. Students can access the web based Accelerated Reader (AR) program to take a comprehension test on the books they have read in all three of our centers.  For more information on an individual centers please click on the Media Center link to the right

MONDAY TO FRIDAY  7:40 A.M.-4:00 P.M.

Media Center General Rules

  • Students need to let the Media Specialist know when they enter the center.

  • Back packs must be placed in the designated area and not brought into the media center.

  • All items other than Media Center books need to be left in the designated area.

  • Remember that the Media Center is a place of reading; please keep the noise down so not to disturb other students and teachers.

  • If you don’t know where a book goes please return the book to the media specialist.

  • Do not use cellular phones or iPods in the media centers.

  • Each media center has additional rules.  Students will need to click on the center links for these.
