Balboa Academy has limited employment opportunities for non-Panamanian citizens.  By Panama law all organizations in Panama are limited to a maximum of 10% of their work force being foreign hired.  Panama work permits are required of all foreign hires.  US Embassy spouses may be able to obtain a work permit by reciprocal agreement. Spouses married to a Panamanian citizen do not count as foreign hires but do need a work permit until they become a Panamanian citizen and receive a cedula.
