All high school students can receive a US Diploma and a Panamanian Diploma upon graduation. To complete this they need to fulfill the following requirements plus 80 hours of community service:

Balboa Academy is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education, Republic of Panama, and AdvancEd, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement in the United States.

Advanced Placement Program

Balboa Academy has an inclusive Advanced Placement program. Students are encouraged to attempt a rigorous High School curriculum and a broad variety of AP course choices are available.

In 2017, 209 students took a total of 425 AP Exams. Passing scores of a 3 or higher were achieved on 78% of the exams which is 18% above the global performance.

Due to the nature of our school and small class size BA does not provide specific ranks for our students. The cumulative GPA of BA students represent courses only taken at BA. AP courses receive an additional weighting of 0.5 when students achieve a C– or higher.
